Rice Krispies Pops

It is officially baking season! One of my favorite things about this time of year. I love baking and creating festive treats to take to work and reward my hubby with after a long day at work. It is so nice to cozy up with a yummy treat after all the errands are done and dinner is cooked. The crisp air and dark nights make it perfect for staying in and baking! This recipe is one I created after seeing the popularity of "Cake Pops" everywhere and with my love of Rice Krispies Treats I couldn't wait to try it out. They don't look very pretty, but they taste  super yummy!

Rice Krispies recipe from RiceKrispies.com

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows

- OR -

4 cups miniature marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies®

2 pkgs milk chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch or any other flavor chips you would like

wooden sticks

wax paper

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

Allow to cool until easy to handle. Roll treats into 1 inch balls and place 1 wooden stick into each treat. Next, melt chips for one min in microwave and stir. Continue to melt for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between until completely melted. Dip rice krispies balls into melted chocolate and tap off excess. Place onto wax paper to cool.
